Luke's 1 month birthday was Friday, March 27th. Daddy was on Spring Break all of last week so we had planned to watch the Riverdale girls play softball on Friday. We were about to walk out the door when daddy checked, one more time, to make sure they were still playing. Due to lots of rain the day before, & threats of more to come, the game had been cancelled. Since momma had already gotten ready (this is a huge accomplishment), we had to go somewhere. We headed to Super Target & even had time to have lunch at Chili's.
It is hard to believe our little boy is already a month old!

Walk
One day while Grammie was helping Laura and the weather was very nice, Luke was able to go on his first walk around our neighborhood. Jasie loved leading the way showing Luke the way back home.
Hopefully, Mr. Horse will become a friend of Luke's later on!

On Thursday, we took Luke to the Vanderbilt University Children's Hospital to begin the treatment of his feet. He will have to wear casts on his feet for several months. After his foot is corrected, then he will have his achilles' tendon stretched so that his little feet can be bent upwards. His first little casts are pictured below.
Luke's Feet
As some of you might know, Luke was diagnosed with two club feet in utero. This was confirmed upon his birth. Below is a picture of both of his feet. The doctors have actually said that having both feet clubbed is better than just one. God created Luke in His image and we praise Him for that!

Luke is here!
Luke was born on 02/27/09 at 12:23 am. He weighed 5 lbs. 10 ozs. and was 20 inches long.
It sure was a long night for the grandparents!
Daddy went to the nursery with Luke every time they needed to see him!
This was Saturday. I look much better than the day before :)
This was taken in the hospital room by the super nice nursery nurse right before we went home.
Luke's first car ride was on Sunday. They let us leave the hospital around 1:00 pm.
This is what our house looked like Sunday morning. Murfreesboro had 4 inches of snow Sat. night. There is still some left on the grass today.
Grammie brought Jasie back to our house Sunday morning so she'd be there when we got home. She let all the neighbors know that Luke had been born with this very cute balloon that played the song Baby Face and a super cute baby snowman!
Jasie loves to sniff Luke. She is being a great big sister!
Daddy has his arms full :)
